A race car cake usually carries checkered flags, a black and white border and the age as a race number.     Children notice details adults miss: the shape of the spoiler, the color of the stripes or the number on the door. Send a photo of the toy, the cartoon screenshot or the real car, and mention anything that must not be wrong. If the child has a favorite racing number or a license plate, it can become part of the design.

  2. Choose Track, Garage or Building Site

    A cake needs a setting as well as a vehicle. A racetrack with checkered flags suits speed fans, a building site with crumb soil and cones suits digger lovers, and a city road with a traffic light fits younger children. Pick one setting, so the cake tells one clear story instead of mixing several themes.

  3. Make the Age Part of the Road

    The age can be more than a candle. It can be a race number on the car, a large topper at the finish line or a road-⁠shaped number that the vehicles drive along. Tell us the name as it should appear, and whether you prefer a sign, a banner or lettering on the side of the cake.

  4. Keep Toy Toppers Safe

Which size works for a car party with many children?

For a group of children plus parents, a Large or Two-⁠Tier cake also leaves room for a track or a building site around the vehicle; the size chart on this page shows how many people each size serves. For a small family moment, a Medium maxi bento with one car is usually enough.
