The Right Cake for the Number of Guests
The most common question before an order is simple: how big should the cake be?
The answer starts with the people who will actually have a slice. For two or three, a Small bento cake is enough. A Medium maxi bento feeds four to six, a Large cake feeds eight to twelve, and a Two-Tier cake serves fourteen to twenty-eight, depending on the size of the tiers.
Every size also has its own diameter and weight. Those figures, together with the starting prices, are in the size table on this page, so the text here speaks only in portions.
Stuck between two sizes? You are not limited to a single cake. A cake with cupcakes, for example a Medium cake and ten cupcakes, covers a longer guest list, and a separate bento cake for each guest, each with its own inscription, turns dessert into a personal gift.
For thirty guests or more, the size and the format are chosen individually; three-tier cakes and a long cake for about fifty guests are described on our large cakes page. A non-standard size can also be made by agreement.
Tip: Cheesecake is denser than sponge, so the same size goes a little further. Tell us the flavor together with the guest count, and we’ll suggest the size.

A Cake Plus Cupcakes
Cupcakes are the simplest way to stretch a cake to more guests without moving up a size. A typical set is a Medium cake with ten cupcakes: the cake takes the candles and the first cut, and the cupcakes are handed around. Tell us the guest count, and we’ll work out how many cupcakes the set needs.

A Bento for Each Guest
Instead of one cake to share, every guest can receive a small bento cake with a different inscription: a name, a wish or a private joke. We make such sets for private celebrations as well as for teams. Send the list of names and texts in writing, so that each box carries the right words.

Thirty Guests and Custom Sizes
The standard sizes end at twenty-eight portions. From thirty guests on, we choose the size and the format together with you, looking at the guest list and the venue. If your number falls between two standard sizes, ask about a non-standard one: it is made by agreement.
Sometimes the cake has to look big in photos while only a few people will eat it. A tall or tiered design adds height, and the opposite works too: a modest centerpiece for the photos plus cupcakes or bento cakes for everyone else.

Check the Fridge First
A cream cake keeps best in the fridge, and the fridge in a vacation rental can be small. A Small or Medium cake usually fits into a hotel or villa fridge. Before choosing a Large or Two-Tier cake, check that the box will go in, or plan to serve the cake soon after delivery.

What cake do I need for 50 guests?
For about fifty guests we can make a long sectional cake or a tiered cake together with cupcakes. See our large and three-tier cakes page, and message us with the date well ahead: about ten days is a good lead time for a cake of this scale.
Can every guest get their own small cake?
Yes. We can make a separate bento cake for each guest, each with a different inscription, for a private party or for a team. Send the names and texts as a written list.

How much does a cake weigh?
Cake weight depends on the type and size and ranges from 400 g to 10 kg. The exact weight is confirmed when you choose a specific cake, and our team will help you pick the right size for your number of guests.
